MAY 2010
The newsletter of the Wy’east Artisans Guild comes out the last week of the month. If you have content to include that is of interest to the Guild, please send it to Gail Bumala at laboom@cascadeaccess.com by the 25th of the month prior to publication.
“IT’S A CIRCUS!” OPENING
The theme show opened thanks to a fabulous crew who hung the show. The reception was a lovely event with so many people pitching in and exhibiting their pride in the Guild as well as their work. Thanks to everyone who supported one another in this effort. A big THANKS to Gail for the music. Congrats to the four members who received monetary kudos for their work: Russell Pearson for his chainsaw carved bear, Patty Henniger for her clownish frog, Joanne Rohweder for her watercolor and Rod Stroh for his photograph. The tour through the library gave each artist a chance to describe their process and was well received. Granted, there was much “clowning around!”
A special thanks from the President to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s theme show and reception!
